The degradation of water constituents is impaired as well as the germicidal speed. The concentration of cyanuric acid can be determined with quick tests. To do this, the tablet is added to a water sample. A characteristic turbidity develops, which is measured optically with a dip tube. When analysing with the photometer, all that is needed is to add the tablet to a water sample and press a button.

LOVIBOND DPD NO.1 HR - (250 PACK) - Test Free Chlorine (High Range / HR), Bromine Detection Range: 0.1 to 10 mg/L (Cl₂) for chlorine; up to 22.5 mg/L for bromine. With the DPD No.1 HR tablet, the free chlorine is determined in the " high range ". The tablet is placed in a cuvette with a few drops of the water sample and crushed, sample water is added and mixed by swirling. The value can be measured immediately. DPD No.1 HR can also be used to measure bromine, ozone and monochloramine-dichloramine.
